Oslo, Norway’s Diskord have teamed with Hellthrasher Productions and Australopithecus Records to unleash their newest slab of old-school-meets-progressive death on vinyl, CD and digital formats. With their prior full-lengths Doomscapes and Dystopics, Diskord have made a name for themselves in the death metal underground, creating albums that are utterly eccentric in their exploratory rendering of death metal, from riffs and tempo shifts to lyrics and artwork. The new mini-album "Oscillations" sees the band in top-notch form, featuring 26 minutes of perfectly crafted, raw-yet-forward thinking prog/death metal with delicious, old-school flavour.

A writhing mass of dissonant riffs, wall-of-snare drumming, and awesome lead basslines. There are other bands that go into the studio with this level of technicality, but few that come out of it sounding anywhere near this weird. Marshall Lochbaum
Blinding, cinematic black metal with rich layers of synth make for an album sweeping in scope and punishing on impact. Bandcamp New & Notable Dec 5, 2016
