Four years, four albums. Finnish old-school death metal squad Decaying manage to maintain the incredible pace of releasing one album per year without ever disregarding the quality of the songwriting and execution.
With their latest offering “One To Conquer”, Decaying unleash eight new tracks of earth-shattering doom-influenced death-metal, picking up exactly where their still impressive third album “The Last Days of War” left off, but also managing to incorporate enough twists and turns to keep things interesting. What founder/vocalist/guitarist Matias Nastolin and company have done with “One To Conquer” is stay true to their traditional sound, a raw and blazing death metal interspersed with some crushing doom elements and a fair amount of melodic guitar licks that give an epic feel to some of these songs.
Set for release on November 4th via their long-time record label Hellthrasher Productions, “One To Conquer” is a brilliant war-themed, bone-crushing death metal record that will surely conquer the attention of all old-school death and doom metal aficionados.
